Experience the Bruce Peninsula at The Parke House B&B

The Parke House is centrally located, offering a ‘pivot point’ for day trips or multi-day excursions, affording you great experiences on the Bruce! Because of this, The Parke House is a gateway to the many sites and activities on the Bruce. Guests are only a short distance from the Lake Huron shoreline and magnificent sunsets. Summer and winter activities at Sauble Beach are a mere 20 minutes away.

Outdoor Activities...

For the outdoor enthusiast, access to the Bruce Trail is well within walking distance from The Parke House. Immediate access to Colpoy’s Bay, at the pier, provides canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing opportunities. There are wonderful cycling and walking opportunities, both on and off road, throughout the area because of the proximity of the Bruce Trail. The Bruce Peninsula Mountain Biking Adventure is only minutes away on Bruce County Road #9. The Bruce Peninsula also offers golfing at the numerous golf courses, horseback riding, and airplane excursions from Wiarton airport.

Rural gardens, local artisan studios, and excellent opportunities for photography of the many panoramic views of Georgian Bay, awaits you.

Fathom Five Provincial Park is a short 45 minute drive up the Bruce Peninsula from The Parke House. It can provide a pleasurable day trip of hiking at Cypress Lake, visiting nearby scenic caves, swimming in the ‘Grotto’, or at Hope Bay on Bruce County Rd. #9.

After a Day Outdoors...

At the end of the day, you can return to The Parke House and find a relaxing time on the front porch, enjoying the panoramic views of Colpoy’s Bay. A shower awaits you, use of a sitting room that features satellite TV, movies on VHS or DVD, or if you like to read, visit our library. If the mood strikes you, a short nap can be taken on your comfortable bed before dinner in Wiarton. There are also shopping opportunities in Wiarton and Owen Sound. A fully serviced spa, designed by our friends at locksmith guelph, and exercise center is available in Wiarton. We would be happy to make arrangements for your personal spa retreat.

Winter Guests...
