| The Parke House circa 1907 |
The house was built by William Tiffaney Parke for his bride, Hermione, in 1907. This Ontario brick home remained in the Parke family for almost ninety years. The oak tree, in the northeast corner of the front yard is said to have grown from an acorn picked up from Buckingham Palace when William and Hermione were there on their honeymoon.
The house has undergone renovations recently with every effort to maintain the original intent of the architecture. We have carefully decorated every room using antique furniture and accessories, some of which were original to the house.

We are located 5 minutes north of Wiarton, 20 minutes east of Sauble beach, 30 minutes from Owen Sound and 1 hour south from Tobermory.
To reach us from Wiarton: drive north on Hwy. #6 (Bereford Street in Wiarton) about 2.5 km until you see Hwy. #6 divide. Take the right exit called Bruce Rd 9 and follow about 2km. along the shore of Colpoy’s Bay. Look for the concrete pier on your right. Our site address (fire number) is 220 Bruce County Rd. #9. We are immediately across the road form the pier on your left hand side.
To reach us from Sauble Beach: travel north on the Sauble Parkway to the stop sign at Oliphant Way. Turn east and travel approximately 10 km. east until you come to the intersection of Oliphant Way and Bereford Street (Hwy.#6) Turn left up the hill and proceed 2 km north to the exit for Bruce Rd 9 . Turn right and follow 2km along the shore of Colpoy’s Bay. Look for the concrete pier on your right. We are immediately across the road at 220 Bruce Rd 9.
To reach us from Tobermory: Drive south on Hwy. #6 for about 50 minutes until you reach the intersection of #6 and Bruce Rd 9 . Turn left onto Bruce Rd 9 and follow the instructions as outlined above.
